- The Tournament will take place from Saturday, September 4th at 5:00 A.M. to Sunday, September 5th, at 2:00 P.M. regardless of weather.
- The format is as follows: Poker Run format – All species, values will be assigned at the Captains’ Meeting.
- All CT Marine Fisheries Rules and Regulations must be followed (see link below).
- Tournament is ALL SPECIES CATCH and RELEASE.
- Each participant must fill out this Registration Form and pay a $125 registration fee per participant or $500 per team/boat (4 anglers per team/boat max).
- If tournament participants plan to use a paid guide/captain, there will be a 1 card deduction off your catch (A king will be a queen if a professional captain / guide is used).
- Boundaries: Western Long Island Sound from Throgs Neck Bridge east to an imaginary boundary between West Haven (Sandy Point Bird Sanctuary) and Mount Sinai Harbor.
- Poke-Run format: This a all species catch and release Poker –Run competition. Each species will be assigned a card value, species values will be publized at the Captains’ Meeting. Weigh-In participants: Must take legible pictures of each catch you plan to enter. For every catch, there must be photos of the fish against an approved measuring device (supplied by officials) or label supplied at the Captains’ meeting. The fish’s tail tip (not the fork) needs to be on zero (0). If there are any questions concerning your photo, your catch will not count. There will be a panel of three (3) judges independent of the tournament who will make all ultimate decisions. You must weigh-in with your photos at the judges’ station by 4:00 P.M. in order for your catch to count.
- There will be a separate voluntary Calcutta (CASH ONLY). Participants wishing to enter the Calcutta (CASH ONLY) will the chance to enter at the captains’ meeting the night before the tournament. There will be no exceptions. All Calcutta (CASH ONLY) participants must enter at the Captains” meeting on Friday, June 4th.
- There will be a Mandatory Captains’ meeting at 5:00 P.M. at Sono IceHouse (300 Wilson Ave, Norwalk, CT 06854) the night before the tournament (Friday, September 3rd). You are required to attend the captains’ meeting. There will be official measuring device or label handed out at the captains’ meeting.
